[arpix] is the experimental duo created by artist friends Snorp & Picasso the Knob. The project began first on January 1st, 2021 where Snorp asked the question that would spark the idea of the whole project: "What if we made an EP / album together?" From that day forward, they've been making music & experimenting with many ideas, concepts, songs, and projects.
Their first official piece of media was released on April 30th, titled BAA/LF, or "Biblically Accurate Angels / Lavender Fields." It's an eight-minute ambient double single. "BAA" works as what it would feel like to see a biblically accurate angel. The calamity & calm merge together in a four-minute orchestration of synths & samples. "LF" is a hazy, dreamy soundscape that makes you float away into a new world. Preferably a calm, foggy, lavender-tinted field. Currently, they are working on their next project, titled GOLDEN GATES, a concept album about a fallen angel trying to find their way home. Thank you so much for tuning in, and here's to a new wave of experimental music!
